Brent Wood, M.A. and Jan Hinrichsen, M.A. graduates and Ph.D. candidates from the University of Tübingen who got started working together on translations in the GrenzRaumSee project. Over the years, we continued to receive requests for translations and saw the need for such specialized translations. Thus in 2011, we founded Wood & Hinrichsen Academic Translations, GbR.

To help ensure the highest quality possible and to offer the option of native British English translations, we have added two members to our team: Thomas Klett and Nicholas Freakes

Thomas Klett (Iowa, U.S.), with over 10 years of journalism experience and college teaching experience, assists with proofreading English translations.

Nicholas Freakes who moved from the U.K to Germany in 1990 has over 15 years of translating experience with expertise in business translations (brochures, catalogues, software datasheets and manuals, websites etc.).

  

Wir, Brent Wood, M.A. und Jan Hinrichsen, M.A. sind Absolventen der Universität Tübingen, die sich bei der gemeinsamen Arbeit im Studienprojekt GrenzRaumSee kennengelernt haben und dort auch die ersten gemeinsamen Übersetzungen in Angriff nahmen. Im Laufe der Zeit erhielten wir immer wieder Anfragen für Übersetzungsarbeiten und erkannten den Bedarf an spezialisierten Übersetzungen in diesem Bereich. Daher gründeten wir im Jahr 2011 Wood & Hinrichsen Academic Translations, GbR.

Um weiterhin einen höchstmöglichen Standard unserer Übersetzungen gewährleisten zu können, haben wir zwei neue Mitarbeiter in unser Team aufgenommen: Thomas Klett und Nicholas Freakes.

Thomas Klett (Iowa, USA) unterstützt uns im Bereich des Korrekturlesens englischer Texte und kann dabei auf mehr als 10 Jahre Erfahrung als Journalist und Hochschuldozent zurückblicken.

Nicholas Freakes stammt aus dem Vereinigten Königreich und lebt seit 1990 in Deutschland. Er arbeitet seit mehr als 15 Jahren als Übersetzer und spezialisiert sich dabei auf Übersetzungen für Unternehmen (Broschüren, Kataloge, Software Datasheets, Bedienungsanleitungen und Websites).
